Spice Up Your Social

Weekly Inspo w/ Prathi

Hey hey Reader!

This week inside the Chai Social Club community (my membership for business owners and solopreneurs), we talked about how to create entertaining content.

It’s still important, today, to figure out how to make this happen for your business and on Instagram specifically because it’s an opportunity for your brand to stand out.

And here’s a fact based on Sprout Social’s research on Instagram –

But we’ve all been there: staring at the screen, trying to think of something new to post on Instagram, but nothing comes to mind. You know you want to engage your audience, but how do you make your content entertaining when your business isn’t exactly… a comedy club? 😅

Well, the good news is: you don’t need to be a comedian to create entertaining content! Even if your business is more on the serious side, adding a touch of humor or playfulness can do wonders for your engagement. It helps show the human side of your brand (and who doesn’t love a good laugh, right?).

Last week, I sent you 5 ideas for content, and here are 5 MORE ways you can add a dash of entertainment to your Instagram:

1. Business Bloopers Reel

Everyone loves a good blooper! Collect funny outtakes, mistakes, or behind-the-scenes mishaps or customer reactions that happened while running your business or filming content. Share them as a blooper reel for a light-hearted post. Example

2. Use Your Product in “Unexpected” Ways
This is your chance to get a little silly. Think about a wild, exaggerated way someone might use your product (but probably shouldn’t). It’s all about having fun while highlighting what makes your product unique. Example

3. Recreate Viral Trends with a Twist

Keep an eye on trending Reels or TikToks and recreate them with a twist related to your business. This keeps you relevant while adding a bit of playfulness that your audience will love. Example

4. Playfully Tackle Industry Stereotypes
What are the stereotypes in your industry? Make a joke out of them! For example, if you’re in finance, poke fun at how “fun” taxes are (because everyone knows they’re not!). Example

5. Office/Workspace Pet Day

If you or your team have pets, dedicate a day to letting them “take over” your Instagram! Whether it’s photos, videos, or funny commentary from the pet’s perspective, it adds personality and warmth to your content. Example

I hope this sparks some creative energy for your Instagram! Remember, adding a bit of humor doesn’t mean being unprofessional—it’s all about creating connections with your audience in a way that feels relatable.

Until next time, keep creating (and laughing)! 🤗

Cheers,
Prathi
